Haji Ali Dargah is the one of the place which was in my mind from years and finally we visited this place on 2nd October after having a bike ride from Pune to Mumbai. I visited this place in my childhood with my family and had a blur memory of this place. The Dargah Sharief is built in 1431 in the memory of a rich Muslim merchant, Sayyed Peer Haji Ali Shah Burkhari (R.A,), who gave up all his worldly possessions before making a pilgrimage to Mecca.

We came to this Dargah after having a visit to Bandra fort, I prayed the Friday prayer in the Masjid next the famous Haji Ali Juice centre at the entrance. Later we headed towards causeway which join the shore & the Dargah.

The walk on the causeway, with the sea on the both side is the tourist attractions while visiting to Haji Ali Dargah. And as the causeway do not have railings, the Dargah is accessible only during low tide.

On Thursdays and Fridays this peaceful place of worship is visited by over 40,000 pilgrims of all faiths and religions to get the saint's blessings.

After spending some time here we decided to head towards Gateway of India, which was in the journey list from long time.
