Slope of Hell - Kamshet, Pune
13:30:00
The Slopes of Hell near Kamshet is the popular spot for most of bike rider in Pune. As the name suggest this place is really dangerous is Monsoon but one can travel and trek to this place in summer and winter.
It will just take an hour ride from Pune to reach this place. After reading about this place and searching on Google map, finally in the month of April 2016 I ride solo to this place with the help of Google Maps.
It is around 55KM from Pune, after reaching Kamshet town; take a left turn towards Pawana Dam. Soon after 2 kms ahead on this road one can spot as small dirt road going on top of hill. It is known as slope of Hell.
Road is narrow and twisty, one wrong move could prove deadly. After crossing the twist and turns, you should reach the base of Slope of Hell. It is almost 45 degree steep incline to reach the top.
Most of the bike riders drive this place in evening and stay on the top for weekend.
There is BSLN tower on the top and I assume they are the creator of this Slope of Hell road. This ride gave me lot of confident to ride the bike on dirt road.
Do visit this place for a dirt bike ride experience, but try to visit this place in group or two as this place is too isolated.

Is it drivable by a car or jeep?
ReplyDeleteCar will not go to this place.
DeleteOh.. Thanks.
DeleteHad seen few posts from 2013-14 where jeeps & fortuners were driven up there. But as per pics in you blog, the road seemed to be too narrow. Only bike can go.
Nice blog. All the best for future endeavours
Thanks for your comments!
DeleteYa road is too narrow and will be difficult for car. But you car drive half way and trek rest of the part. It won't be that amazing :)
